DESKTOP VENUE SEARCH

What the heck??

As we can't get out there to visit any potential wedding venues right now, I'm conducting desktop venue searches with my couples.

Rather than waiting to start the search I share a list of potential options with my couple based on the criteria they've given me. We then work through the list to create a shortlist. And then we'll book viewings as soon as we can.

We can rule some out based on size, location, facilities or price and then where it's possible we're doing virtual viewings. It's not the same as physically being there but it's a good alternative to ensure we can get things moving along.

If you've just started your planning and you think this would help you, DM me and we can chat about how I could help you with this. It'll get your planning off the ground as well as giving you something to do at the weekend!!
NATIONAL HUG DAY ⠀ ⠀ I don't know about NATIONAL HUG DAY ⠀
⠀
I don't know about you but I'm missing hugs so so much. 🤗 I can't tell you how good it felt to be able to hug my kids and granddaughter at Christmas after months of not being able to. I told my granddaughter Melody, who is 5, that we were filling up our 'hug bank' so that we could get one when we were missing each other. ⠀
⠀
And it's a good job we did isn't it 'cos we have no idea when we can see each other, never mind have a hug. The first pic on here is my sister and me on my wedding day - I cannot wait for us to be able to get all our family together again. ⠀
⠀
But not everyone is a hugger - my bestie does not do hugs so she's quite happy that they're banned right now!! 😉⠀
⠀
Are you a hugger? And if you are, who is top of your list to get a hug when it's safe again? Sending a virtual hug to anyone who needs one 🤗
LET'S TALK ABOUT MONEY When you start your LET'S TALK ABOUT MONEY

When you start your wedding planning, it's so important to get your budget sorted before you book anything. It's really easy for the costs for your wedding to run away with you if you don't do this. And then you're going to have some really tricky decisions to make later on.

So let's stop that from happening. The 3rd blog for newly engaged couples is available now and it's all about your budget. How to create it and how to manage it. So unless money is no object for you then it's a must read.

🌎 WILL YOU PLEASE STAND. 🌍 16.01.21. Toda 🌎 WILL YOU PLEASE STAND. 🌍

16.01.21.

Today we ask our global community to please post this image, and all join together across social media to stand up for weddings.

Stand up for weddings. Stand up for engaged couples. Stand up for suppliers and venues. Stand up for creatives. Stand up for culture. Stand up for society. Stand up for artists. Stand up for your friends or family.

The global wedding industry employs millions of people in every corner of the world. It is dominated by female led businesses who contribute billions to economies. It creates millions of memories in the minds and hearts of people in every part of society.

In most countries we are still heavily restricted or banned from working during the pandemic. In the U.K. we have been closed in all but name since March 2020 without any meaningful or targeted financial support. Couples have not been told when they can marry again, or in what capacity.

We ask our leaders for financial support and guidance on reopening. We must not lose our talent. We must not lose livelihoods. We must not forget the importance of love and commitment.

Will you and all your followers please stand. Encourage others to join in. Tag your guests and supplies, your colleagues and your friends. Tell your story. Let’s ensure we are seen and heard.

STAND UP. Stand up for weddings. 💕

WINTER WEDDING Winter weddings are so magi WINTER WEDDING

Winter weddings are so magical and becoming more and more popular. And when they can look like this why wouldn't they be?

Yes you know it's going to be cold but you can plan for that. There are no guarantees of good weather in the summer in the UK so actually knowing you need to be prepared for the weather can be a good thing.

But you can make your day so cosy with candlelight and hot chocolate and blankets for your guests. And often you can get a better deal at your wedding venue for an out of season date.

It's definitely worth considering if you're just starting to work out when you're going to get married. Would you have a winter wedding?
