Unicorn Inspired Styled Shoot
A few months ago, Jade from Let’s Bee Together put a request on Facebook asking for help to organise a styled shoot with a Unicorn theme.
Now at first I thought, nah that’s not my cup of tea. Then I looked at her moodboard and quickly changed my mind. I could see it was going to be inspired by unicorns but not full of actual unicorns!!
And it turned out so beautifully. An amazing team of suppliers came together to create something pretty special.
You’ve probably seen some of the images on my Instagram account or Facebook page but I’d thought I’d share more with you and a little bit about the suppliers who made this happen.
The Bride’s Look
Charlotte from Legend Bridal Designs offered to make a bespoke dress specifically for this shoot. The dress was perfect! Stylish and modern with just enough pastel colours added to it so that it worked beautifully with the theme.
The dress was complemented with gorgeous lace boots made by Nicole at House of Elliot as well as bespoke head pieces from Hazel at Honey V Tiaras. We also added the perfect pop of colour with the bright earrings supplied by Justine at Starbox Wedding.
Our model Kelsey wore the dress so well. Her overall look was enhanced by fabulous hair and make up from Rachael Doig and was completed with an amazing pastel coloured bouquet from All Bunched Up. Silk Ribbon from Pompom Blossom added to the bouquet and looked beautiful fluttering in the breeze in the garden.
Lorien from Storeybook Cakes excelled herself on this shoot.
The desert table was full of treats which were completely co-ordinated to the theme. The cake was 3 tiers, all different but all beautiful.
And the treats tasted as good as they looked! The macarons were soooo delicious.
Jane from Maddison Rocks Floral Sculpture brought along her huge flower wall. Unbelievably, Jane made this herself and it was the perfect backdrop for images of Kelsey.
Jane also provided the table with the swing over it which we used to display the cakes and desserts. There’s something so inspiring about a cake being suspended on a swing (if not a little scary!)
I loved putting this table setting together. The colours worked so well together. The gorgeous pink silk table runners from Pompom Blossom enhanced the colours in the glassware and made the colours pop even more.
Heidi from Extra Special Touch embroidered the napkins beautifully to tie in with the pretty stationery from Emily at Letters from Emily. And the look was finished off with the pastel flowers from Kathy at All Bunched Up. Kathy stepped in literally 2 days before the shoot as our original florist dropped out. And she saved the day!
And of all this was beautifully captured on camera by Cristina Ilao – I’m sure you’ll agree the images are amazing. We had the added bonus of a videographer at this shoot to capture the day. Leanne at Wild Heart Films worked her magic and you can see the video of the shoot here.
