Venue Review – The Walled Garden at Beeston Fields
I recently visited the Walled Garden in Nottingham to see if their gardens are as fab as they sound.
And I’m pleased to say they are!
The venue is just 10 minutes from the M1 so is easily accessible for guests travelling from further afield.
They’ve been holding weddings here for over 150 years so I think you’re in safe hands!
The Marquee
They have a permanent marquee for your reception and party which means this venue is a great option if you want a marquee wedding without the need to also hire a generator, toilets, bar etc.
The marquee is a blank canvas enabling you to dress it to suit your style and taste.
There’s a lovely bar in there too and access to the fab gardens.
The Outdoor Ceremony
Outside they have a raised area where the old greenhouse has been converted into an outdoor ceremony area.
In England, you have to be under a permanent structure for your marriage to be legal. And this area is one of the best I’ve seen for achieving this. You’re not squashed into a garden shed!
Your guests will be seated on the lower level of the garden so they will have a great view too while you say your vows.
Of course, in England you also need a back up plan for outdoor ceremonies! The ceremony can be held inside the marquee if the weather lets you down.
Your reception area can be screened so you can keep the element of surprise for your guests.
The Garden
The garden is just fabulous with lots of flower beds providing plenty of colour. As well as the raised terrace where you can get married, there’s also a sunken patio where you can hold your drinks reception.
There’s a children’s maze and an amazing arch of fruit trees which would look absolutely beautiful with fairy lights all over it. There’s also 2 gorgeous doors which make fantastic photo backdrops.
The Team
The wedding team were all super friendly and helpful too and made me feel really welcome. I’m sure they’d be a great team to work with when planning your wedding.
I’ve very excited to be planning a styled shoot here in October as well so watch out for a future blog where I’ll be able to share the photos from the day.
This is a great venue for an outdoor style wedding in a beautiful setting. You can find out more about the venue here
I’d love the opportunity to work here so do get in touch if you’d like to know more about how my planning services might be good for you.
