Vintage with a Modern Twist – Styled Shoot

 

Sometimes a group of people come together and create something magical.  We took vintage styling and added a modern twist.  

I’m so pleased to be able to share these images with you from my first styled shoot of the year.

The shoot took place back in March on a very cold and blustery day at Robin Hoods Bay.

The Inspiration

The venue was very much the inspiration for this shoot.  When I went to visit it for the first time I was stunned by the space and the views.

I wanted to create a look that was Vintage with a Modern Twist.  So I styled the shoot with some vintage elements to reflect the history of the place but included more modern elements while bringing in subtle hints of the seaside.

The blush and pale grey colours complemented the venue and worked so well together.

There’s always a risk with a shoot that people interpret the brief slightly differently and sometimes things might not work together.  But that certainly did not happen here, I love everything about this shoot and have lost several hours looking at the images!

It was a fantastic team of suppliers who came together for the day to create this gorgeousness and I’m dead chuffed with the outcome.  You can see the full list of suppliers at the end of the blog.
